My First Entry

 Greetings!!! My name is Brianna Allen majoring in Biological Science on a pre-med track with a minor in Education. I am from Quincy, FL, which is literally 20 minutes outside Tallahassee. I am constantly busy and always have something to do daily. I love musicals and I have watched Alexander Hamilton 87 times. I have a hard time eating and I rather eat candy over eating a real meal.

I have a lot of experience with using technology in an educational setting. At my current job, I am required to do a presentation to my students, and Zoom meetings, and since I am a STEM major my supervisor loves it when I can incorporate technology into my lesson of the week. Although I have a slight experience with technology I know there is much more I can learn. I want to be able to use what I learn in this class in the real world around my students.

My personal learning network is canvas. Canvas has all my classes which means I trust my professors to upload all the necessary work to succeed in my classes. Sometimes that does not work so my next best personal learning network is Youtube. As a STEM student, I always find the perfect video for free to help me pass my class. My personal favorite youtube channel is The Organic Chemistry Tutor.

     ELA technology standard is focused on helping students from K-12 create ideas to explore minds, development, and much more. The standard I selected was Grades: K-2 Standard 4: Hardware and Software. This standard is for students to be able to seek and know the different electronic devices in our classrooms. This standard also talks about teaching them how to use and operate the devices and the programming that these devices offer. I do feel prepared to implement this standard base on my knowledge and skills using electronics. Since I was young, I have always used some type of electronic for class even if it's just a computer. Blog Journal #6

     My initial experience using Diigo was weird. I do like Diigo but I also do not like it at the same time. Diigo have its pros and cons when it comes to using it for me. Some stuff I like about the website Diigo is being able to post, see what other post and the way the website help me with learning. Some cons I did have with the website is that it is hard to navigate the website for me. I have a hard time trying to see what is being posted but it is also good for me to learn how to use Diigo more.     My experience with blogging have been great...almost to the point that I have a small chance of loving it. I like that I can write what I want on the blog and write as much as I can/want. I do not like the basic about it because I think it would be cool to make it private or even public like a Instagram but strictly for school and learning.
